Full planning permission granted for the conversion of a Dutch barn within the Shropshire Hills AONB

AJB DESIGN & BUILD are proud to have been at the forefront of this application for an existing client. With planning permission already granted for a large agricultural barn on the site the client wanted to try and get permission to convert the adjacent Dutch barn that had originally been programmed for demolition. This was an exciting project and from start to finish and by working closely with Shropshire Conservation department we were able to secure full planning permission for the Dutch barn to be converted into a modern open market dwelling. 22nd February 2019

Application for lawful development granted for existing static caravan using ‘4 year’ rule

AJB DESIGN & BUILD were approached by the client to help with an application for a lawful development certificate following an enforcement notice from Shropshire Planning department. The client had begun the procedure but had soon found themselves out of their depth and following a discussion over the phone employed AJB DESIGN & BUILD to continue the application. It concerned an existing static caravan on the clients property, which had never received any permissions and was lived in full time by someone paying rent, thus forming a permanent immovable dwelling. Following protracted discussions with the planning and enforcement departments a significant file of evidence was lodged and the application granted for a lawful development certificate for the erection of a permanent dwelling. 4th September 2018
