Victorian town house extension

Project Brief:

The client contacted AJB Design & Build regarding a proposed single storey side and rear extension to there Victorian town house. They had a clear idea of want they required from the extension but were unsure how to proceed in making their ideas reality. At the initial site consultation the client expressed the desire to open up the current living space and make it much more accommodating to the modern family. This included making the modest sized kitchen into a large kitchen/diner and opening up the current dining room. As well as this the customer also wanted to convert their cellar into an guest bedroom with en suite.

Following the site visit, AJB Design & Build were able to supply the customer with 3 concepts of the brief. The client was then able to cherry pick the best parts from each allowing us to come up with a final design, including existing and proposed floor plans and elevations showing the alterations to both the ground floor and cellar.

The client had already made a pre-application submission regarding their plans and they used AJB Design & Build‘s drawings to apply for planning permission, which was granted 8 weeks later.
